Join us for our 2nd annual A.P. Torrence Youth Leadership Academy-a weeklong program focused on equipping African American males with the tools needed to help them become and thrive as productive leaders in their families, schools and communities. Our goal is to provide positive mentoring and inspiring presentations from successful African American men, along with constructive and impactful experiences with a heavy emphasis on cognitive improvement, academic excellence and cultural identity. At #APTYLA, male students 10-15 years old are invited to learn from "Professor Ken" - Reverend Kenneth G. Torrence - a successful attorney, college professor, author, entrepreneur, and ordained Baptist minister. Under the watchful eye of Professor Ken, students will engage with prominent civic and community leaders, participate in leadership and personal development activities, enhance their speaking and presentation skills, participate in daily physical exercise, and more! #APTYLA includes breakfast, lunch, a t-shirt and field trip. Students report to #APTYLA each day from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Come make new friends and become a better version of yourself. We can't wait to see you there!
